HabTracker: Wildlife Conservation Application

- Project Overview - A smartphone application to assist wildlife conservationists in tracking and protecting wild animals and plant species.
- My Roles - Designer | Researcher
- Tools - Figma | Adobe Illustrator
- End Product - Figma Prototype
Problem Statement
Wildlife Conservationists spend a lot of time doing fieldwork; collecting soil samples, tracking endangered species, overseeing vegetation regeneration, and mitigating forest fires. To stay on top of all these tasks a Wildlife Conservationist must be informed of the local area and its habitats, its seasonal patterns, its animals, plants, and dangers posed to them, as well as how the local human population interacts with and affects the wildlife in the area. All of this information can be extensive, and keeping informed and understanding the relationships between these different areas is no easy feat. Lack of useful and easy to reach information increases the workload on Wildlife Conservationists, and increases the costs of their job. In doing so, it also increases the harm on wildlife and habitats themselves.
